1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Daily Sanctum (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Daily Sanctum ("we," "us," or "our").

2. Description of Service

Daily Sanctum is a prayer and spiritual growth application that provides:

• Access to traditional Catholic and Orthodox prayers
• Liturgical calendars and daily readings
• Saint biographies and spiritual content
• Prayer tracking and habit formation tools
• Reminders and notifications for prayer times

The App is designed for personal spiritual enrichment and is not a substitute for spiritual direction, pastoral care, or participation in religious services.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• You are responsible for all activities under your account

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
• Abuse or misuse the App

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Trial

• New users receive a 14-day free trial of premium features
• You will not be charged during the trial period
• Cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges

Subscription Plans

Daily Sanctum offers the following subscription plans:

• Monthly: $7.99 per month
• Annual: $59.99 per year
• Family: $99.99 per year (up to 6 accounts)
• Lifetime: $199.99 (one-time purchase)

Billing and Auto-Renewal

• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Payment: Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase
• Renewal Charge: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with notice, but changes will not affect current subscription periods

Managing Subscriptions

• Manage subscriptions in your App Store Account Settings
• Turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before period ends to cancel
• No cancellation of current subscription during active period
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited upon purchase

Refunds

All purchases are subject to Apple's standard refund policy. We cannot directly issue refunds for purchases made through the App Store.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the App
• Share your account with others
• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Collect or harvest user data

6. Content and Intellectual Property

Our Content

• The App and its original content (excluding user content) are owned by Daily Sanctum
• Prayer texts are sourced from public domain and licensed materials
• You may use content for personal, non-commercial purposes only
• You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission

User Content

• You retain ownership of content you create (e.g., prayer intentions)
• You grant us a license to use, store, and display your content within the App
• You are responsible for content you create

Third-Party Content

The App may contain content from third parties. We are not responsible for third-party content accuracy or reliability.

7. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Disclaimers

Spiritual Content Disclaimer

• The App is for inspirational and educational purposes
• Content is not a substitute for spiritual direction or pastoral care
• Liturgical variations may exist between regions and traditions
• Consult your spiritual advisor for specific guidance

Service Disclaimer

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• Features may change or be discontinued
• We are not responsible for data loss

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the past 12 months
• We are not liable for any loss of data or content
• We are not liable for third-party actions or content

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Daily Sanctum from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your content or activities

11. Changes to Terms

• We may modify these Terms at any time
• Changes will be posted on this page with updated date
• Significant changes will be notified through the App
• Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

We prefer to resolve disputes informally. Please contact us at support@dailysanctum.com before initiating formal proceedings.

Arbitration

Any disputes not resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules.

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Daily Sanctum regarding the App.
